writer and editor

Meet Amy Reiswig
A freelance writer, I’ve published book reviews, artist profiles/interviews, travel articles, and personal stories in magazines across Canada. From mythic metal music in the Faroe Islands to First Nations leaders fighting for land protection in BC to the experience of Toronto’s homeless during COVID, many of my articles aim to share stories slightly outside the centre.

What people are saying
Yours was the first review that came out, and it was really attuned to what the project was trying to do. To know that the book is finding its way into sympathetic hands and provoking conversation is everything that Rik and I wanted from the project.
Thanks for doing such an incredible job of representing the book to your readers. It means a great deal to me and Rik's family.
Jason Demers, editor of The Life Sentences of Rik McWhinney
What a delight to read your review of Drink the Bitter Root, which is beautifully written and so sensitive to the nuances of the book. It’s the kind of review a writer waits for, too often in vain.
